The compaction of soils for Lot 5 and Lot 6 12" Water Line from STA 5+10 to 7+50. Please see the attached sketch. Utilizing the nuclear test method to check the compaction of soils; test results indicated that the compacted material, at the areas and elevations tested, DID NOT MEET or exceeded the project requirements of 95% of the maximum dry density with a moisture content above optimum, as obtained in our laboratory using the Standard Proctor Method (ASTM D-698). Locations and elevations of all tests are based on stakeout provided by others. We cannot be responsible for structures located off of the observed engineered pad, misaligned utilities or stakeout errors causing uncontrolled fill to be placed in structural areas. The superintendent was informed of the failing density tests. 2. The placement of 4000 psi concrete for Lot 2R Storm Drain Line 7 Y-Inlet Tops and Aprons at STA 0+93 and STA 1+86, and Storm Drain Line 5 Y-Inlet Top and Apron. Please see the attached sketches. The required test limits were determined to be a slump of 3-5 inches, air content of 3-6 %, batch to placement time of 90 minutes, and concrete temperature range of 55-90 degrees Fahrenheit. Concrete observed on this date appeared to be placed in compliance with project specifications with regard to temperature, slump, air content, and batch to placement time.
