The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met July 18, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the
Administration Conference Room at The REC of Grapevine, 1175 Municipal Way, Grapevine, Texas
with the following members present, to -wit:

Kathy Nelson, Capital Improvement Projects Manager
The meeting was called to order at 5:59 p.m.
A moment of silence was observed.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Mark Assaad and seconded by Dave Buhr to approve the May 16, 2019
minutes. Motion passed 9-0.
Ayes — Christian Ross, Roy Robertson, Ray Harris, Joe Luccioni, Dana Gibson, Terry Musar, Mark
Assaad, Morgan Nichols, and Dave Buhr

Citizen Comments
One citizen comment was received from Ann Earley.
New Business
• New Member, Dana Gibson — introduction made
• Election of the Vice -Chairperson & Secretary
A motion was made by Roy Robertson & seconded by Mark Assaad to elect Terry Musar as the
vice -chairperson. Motion passed 9-0.
A motion was made by Mark Assaad & seconded by Terry Musar to elect Morgan Nichols as the
secretary. Motion passed 9-0.

• Consider approval of the following renewal adopt -an -area agreements:

Presentation:
• Capital Projects Update
o Kevin Mitchell presented 17 capital projects that are in the construction phase, almost
complete, or complete, as well as Altitude H2O.
• Amilia — Registration Software
o Chris Smith presented the new Recreation Software, Amilia, that is going live on
Thursday, August 8.
PARD Information Items:
Updates were given over the following divisions:
• Athletics
• Lake Parks/Events
o All Lake Parks are open except the Vineyards Campground is not 100% fully
operational.
o Dove Loop Boat Ramp & Sand Bass Point Boat Ramp have repairs that need to be
made before they can be reopened.

Miscellaneous Board Items:
GCISD Report — Jorge Rodriguez gave a report over the following: Remodel of various GCISD
facilities/schools, new hires for principals, athletics and the first day of school — August 19.
Adjourn
A motion was made by Mark Assaad and seconded by Terry Musar to adjourn the meeting at 7:12
p.m. Motion passed 9-0.
