The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met May 16, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the
Administration Conference Room at The REC of Grapevine, 1175 Municipal Way, Grapevine, Texas
with the following members present, to -wit:

Constituting a quorum with the following members of City staff:

Randy Sell, Lake Parks & Events Manager
April Rogers, Event Production Supervisor

The meeting was called to order at 6:02 p.m.
A moment of silence was observed.
Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Mark Assaad and seconded by Terry Musar to approve the April 18, 2019
minutes. Motion passed 7-0.

Terry Musar, Mark Assaad, Morgan Nichols, and
New Business
• Consider approval of the following new adopt -an -area agreement:
- Warren Family for Peach Street from North Scribner Street to North Main Street
A motion was made by Ray Harris and seconded by Joe Luccioni to approve the new Adopt -An -Area
agreement. Motion passed 7-0.

Presentation:
Randy Sell, April Rogers & Kevin Morgan gave a presentation over annual community events such as
Daddy Daughter Dance, Carol of Lights, Mother Son Date Night, G3, Father Son Amazing Race, and
the new Sunset Live & Halloween Bash at the Botanical Gardens.

o Cotton Belt Trail — $2.7 million grant received from NCTCOG

o Preparation for Dove Waterpark & Pleasant Glade Pool for summer season

o Earth Day Action Week: 336 volunteers, 664 hours & 11 businesses total
Miscellaneous Board Items:
GCISD Report — Jorge Rodriguez gave a report over the following: GCISD Board election results,
construction projects such as Cannon & the Multipurpose Activity Center, See Something/Say
Something App, police presence in schools, girls golf state championship, advanced academics/AP
teachers, public education advocacy in Austin and high school graduation dates.
Adjourn
A motion was made by Dave Buhr and seconded by Mark Assaad to adjourn the meeting at 7:14 p.m.
Motion passed 7-0.
