Le 11 11 --t � - K6vin Mitchell, Director of Parks & Recreation CITY OF GRAPEVINE COUNTY OF TARRANT STATE OF TEXAS The City of Grapevine Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met September 19, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Parkwood Park, 1901 Woodcreek Drive, Grapevine, Texas with the following members present, to - wit: MEMBERS LIAISONS Christian Ross Paul Slechta — City Council Roy Robertson Darlene Freed — City Council Joe Luccioni Doug Noell— GCISD Dana Gibson Linda -Grace Assaad — GHS Student Mark Assaad Morgan Nichols ABSENT Ray Harris Terry Musar Dave Buhr Constituting a quorum with the following members of City staff: Chris Smith, Deputy Director Scott Hardeman, Hospitality Manager Amanda Rodriguez, Marketing Manager Tony Steele, Parks Manager Jerry Schroeder, Hospitality Coordinator The meeting was called to order at 6:08 p.m. A moment of silence was observed. Approval of Minutes A motion was made by made by Mark Assaad and seconded by Joe Luccioni to approve the August 15, 2019 minutes. Motion passed 6-0. Ayes — Christian Ross, Roy Robertson, Joe Luccioni, Dana Gibson, Mark Assaad, & Morgan Nichols Nays— None Absent — Ray Harris, Terry Musar & Dave Buhr Citizen Comments There were 9 citizen comments received from neighborhood residents as it pertains to Parkwood Park concerns, improvement suggestions and requests. New Business Parkwood Park Playground structure & re -model Tony Steele and staff presented two different playground structure options on displayed boards for all to view. Residents were invited to vote on their preference, and selected the playground equipment from Playground Solutions of Texas, Inc. There were approximately 30 residents who attended the joint neighborhood meeting. Staff provided hot dogs on the mobile grill to the neighborhood residents for the occasion. Adjourn A motion was made by Mark Assaad and seconded by Morgan Nichols to adjourn the meeting at 6:43 p.m. Motion passed 6-0.
