1. City Council to canvass the results of the November 7, 2006 4B Sales and Use Tax
Election, consider a resolution declaring the results and take any necessary action.

The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met on this the 15th day of November,
2006 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Second Floor, 200 South Main Street, with
the following members present to-wit:
William D. Tate Mayor
Ted R. Ware Mayor Pro Tem
Sharron Spencer Council Member
C. Shane Wilbanks Council Member
Clydene Johnson Council Member
Roy Stewart Council Member
Darlene Freed Council Member
constituting a quorum, with the following members of the City Staff:
Bruno Rumbelow City Manager
Jennifer Hibbs Assistant City Manager
H. T. Hardy Assistant City Manager
John F. Boyle, Jr. City Attorney
Linda Huff City Secretary
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Tate caned the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
ITEM 1. CANVASS 4B SALES AND USE TAX ELECTION
City Secretary Linda Huff reported there are 28,014 registered voters in the City as of
November 1, 2006. The election was held on Tuesday, November 7, 2006, with citizens
casting a total of 11,742 votes for the following proposition:
Proposition One - 4B Sales and Use Tax
For 8,059
Against 2,899
City Secretary Huff recommended approval of a resolution declaring the results of the 4B
Sales and Use Tax Election.
Council Member Wilbanks, seconded by Council Member Stewart, offered a motion to
adopt the resolution declaring the results of the 4B Sales and Use Tax Election. The
motion prevailed by the following vote:

Ayes: Tate, Ware, Spencer, Wilbanks, Johnson, Stewart & Freed
Nays: None
RESOLUTION NO. 2006-70
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
NOVEMBER 7, 2006 4B SALES AND USE TAX ELECTION
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
ADJOURNMENT
Council Member Wilbanks, seconded by Council Member Johnson, offered a motion to
adjourn the meeting at 5:02 p.m. The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Tate, Ware, Spencer, Wilbanks, Johnson, Stewart & Freed
Nays: None
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS on this the 21st day of November, 2006.
