This letter confirms on October 24, 2019 the Historic Preservation Staff approved with
conditions #CA19-110 for the property addressed 835 East Texas Street, legally
described as Block 2, Lot 12 & E 40' 13, Box Addition, to the Grapevine Historic
Preservation Ordinance 91-73 (Appendix G — Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as
amended, for the following:
1. Remove chain -link fence & replace with rough cedar board -on -board with top
cap along the west side and rear property line; rear fence to be 8 feet high and
the west side fence to be 6 feet high;
2. Apply stain to new fence as follows: Sherwin Williams #SW 3076, "Sahara";
as per the attached drawing and photos with the condition a permit is obtained from the
building department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit' is / is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 811.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.

This letter confirms on November 30, 2020 the Historic Preservation Staff approved with
conditions #CA19-110(b) for the property addressed 835 East Texas Street, legally
described as Block 2, Lot 12 & E 40' 13, Box Addition, to the Grapevine Historic
Preservation Ordinance 91-73 (Appendix G — Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as
amended, for the following:
1. Revisions to the previously approved CA to increase the height of the east and
west wood privacy fence to 8' high; fence to step down from the rear of the
original house to 6' high;
2. Stain cedar fencing with Sherwin Williams #SW 3076, "Sahara";
3. Install a wrought iron entry access gate on east side yard of the house and a
wrought iron driveway gate on west side of the house driveway;
as per the attached drawing and photos with the condition a permit is obtained from the
building department and final details of the wrought iron fence to be submitted for approval
under a separate Certificate of Appropriateness.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit is / is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.
