Botanical Gardens and its history. Dinosaur fossils were found at Grapevine Lake in 2015
which prompted the created of our first ever Fossil Fest event in October 2015 at The REC
Courtyard. In 2016, Fossil Fest was moved to the Botanical Gardens, which only made the
event grow larger, and in 2017 the event became Jurassic Gardens. It is now a large exhibit
that includes over 15 animatronic dinosaurs in life size. The event spans over a period of 16
days and a variety of special interest items are offered. Some of these include field trips,
educational displays, and adult night-time events such as Winos & Dinos and Bones &
B rews.
