This letter confirms on February 17, 2020 the Historic Preservation Staff approved with
conditions #CA20-17 for the property addressed 840 East Texas Street, legally described
as Block 5, Lot 6,
D. E. Box Addition, City of Grapevine to the Grapevine Historic Preservation Ordinance 91-
73 (Appendix G — Grapevine Code of Ordinances), as amended, for the following:
1. Install two wood single width garage doors on the front wall of the original
carport wing with the following specifications:
Overhead Door series #454, 8' wide by 8' high with rectangular wood panels;
2. On the front and rear exterior walls of the carport, replace the non -original
vertical plywood siding with #105 wood horizontal siding, to match the
appearance of the existing;
3. Repair the existing house #105 wood siding, fascia boards and soffits as
necessary;
4. Install new 5" wide seamless gutters on exterior of the house;
5. Paint the exterior siding and trim of the house in the following color scheme:
a. Sherwin Williams' #SW-6164, "Svelte Sage" — exterior wood siding;
b. Sherwin Williams' #SW-6418 "Rural Green"- front door;
c. Sherwin Williams' #SW-6237 "Dark Night"- building trim;
as per the attached specifications, photos and color swatches with the conditions a permit
is obtained from the Building Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit is 1 is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.
