Trent Petty City Manager � � Larry Koonce Finance Director � j Linda Huff City Secretary �, I i CALL TO ORDER ; f ' f Mayor Tate called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m. ' � I ' ' ; ; ITEM 1 . WORKSHOP, PROPOSED 1993-1994 BUDGET f � City Manager T�ent Petty continued discussion of the proposed Fiscal Year 1994 ' budget by distributing a revised General Fund Summary depicting proposed '' expenditures of S16,826,024.00, which is a reduction to 10.98% over the current budget year. Reductions were made in the following areas: two Library positions, � one Finance Department position, S 101,000.00 from the Permanent Capital � � Maintenance Fund, S250,000.00 from the Permanent Street Maintenance Fund, , � 567,477.00 from the Police Department Capital Fund, and the salary range � adjustments were eliminated with an across the board salary adjustment to 5%. He ' � noted the 6% TMRS match remained in the budget, which equates to S365.00 per " year per employee. � � � The City Council continued with review of the following departments: Fire, Parks & � i Recreation, Library, Public Works, Community Development, and Building Services. � � During review of the General Administrative Services, it was the consensus of the City � � Council to reduce the distribution to the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce from � 540,000.00 to 535,000.00 and that the Graduation Celebration donation be reduced { � , I � I � � 06/30/93 from S 1,000.00 to 5250.00. Review of the budget continued with the Utility Fund and discussion of the costs of the EPA imposed mandates, Debt Service Fund, Convention & Visitors Bureau Fund, Lake Enterprise Fund, Insurance Fund with a brief discussion of the $1 .2 million projected claims (worse case scenario), Fleet Services Fund, Heritage Foundation Fund and Capital Projects Fund. � _ Having completed review of the proposed budget, Mayor Tate announced that the scheduled meeting for Thursday, July 1, 1993, would be canceled. Brief discussion ensued relative to the proposed schedule for final review and adoption of the Fiscal { Year 1994 budget. ADJOURNMENT Council Member Wickman, seconded by Council Member Spencer, offered a motion ; to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 p.m. The motion prevailed by the following vote: ` ; Ayes : Tate, Ware, Spencer, Wilbanks, Traverse, Pittman & Wickman ; Nays .
