Approval of Minutes A motion was made to approve the November 21, 2019 meeting minutes. Motion: Harris Second: Assaad Ayes: Ross, Robertson, Harris, Luccioni, Gibson, Assaad, and Buhr Nays: None Absent: Musar and Nichols Approved: 7-0 Citizen Comments Courtney Sanders gave a citizen comment in regards to the private changing rooms at The REC. New Business A motion was made to approve the following renewal adopt -an -area agreement: o Kelly Richards for Horseshoe Trails Park, east side Motion: Robertson Second: Assaad Ayes: Ross, Robertson, Harris, Luccioni, Gibson, Assaad, and Buhr Nays: None Absent: Musar and Nichols Approved: 7-0 A motion was made to approve the following new adopt -an -area agreement: o Grapevine Lions Club for West Wall Street from Main Street to Dove Road Motion: Buhr Second: Luccioni Ayes: Ross, Robertson, Harris, Luccioni, Gibson, Assaad, and Buhr Nays: None Absent: Musar and Nichols Approved: 7-0 A motion was made to approve the following new adopt -an -area agreement: o Slechta Family for East Wall Street from South Dooley Street to Texan Trail (both sides) Motion: Assaad Second: Harris Ayes: Ross, Robertson, Harris, Luccioni, Gibson, Assaad, and Buhr Nays: None Absent: Musar and Nichols Approved: 7-0 A motion was made to approve the following existing but expired adopt -an -area agreement: o Re -GEARED for McPherson Slough area from Catfish Lane to Boathouse Drive and surrounding area Motion: Robertson Second: Luccioni Ayes: Ross, Robertson, Harris, Luccioni, Gibson, Assaad, and Buhr Nays: None Absent: Musar and Nichols Approved: 7-0 A motion was made to approve the following existing but expired adopt -an -area agreement: o U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for Farris Branch, Cable Branch, Scott's Landing Marina and Sand Bass Point Motion: Buhr Second: Gibson Ayes: Ross, Robertson, Harris, Luccioni, Gibson, Assaad, and Buhr Nays: None Absent: Musar and Nichols Approved: 7-0 A motion was made to approve the following existing but expired adopt -an -area agreement: 2 o Harris Family for the eastern shoreline of cove adjacent to Meadowmere Park around point to near Labrador Bay Motion: Assaad Second: Robertson Ayes: Ross, Robertson, Harris, Luccioni, Gibson, Assaad, and Buhr Abstain: Harris Nays: None Absent: Musar and Nichols Approved: 6-0 Presentation: Kevin Mitchell gave a presentation over The REC's safety protocols and procedures over the last five years since the opening of the facility as well as items that address other facilities and programs beyond the REC. PARD Information Items: Updates over the CAPRA submission was given, staffing and various projects. • Capital Projects • Events • Lake Parks — • Events — • Park Maintenance — • Recreation/Athletics — • Volunteerism Miscellaneous Board Items: • GCISD Report — Doug Noelle reported on Harlem Wizards, and GCISD school board elections • GHS Report — Lina Grace Assaad reported on the end of basketball season, baseball/softball, Best Buddies basketball game, Interact Club volunteerism at the Rotary Valentine's Dance, tennis in -season and AP environmental science doing work on courtyard.
