This letter confirms on March 27, 2020 the Historic Preservation Commission staff approved
with conditions #CA20-23 for the property addressed 334 South Barton Street, legally
described as Block 2, Lot 9R, City of Grapevine Texas. The following was approved on this
Certificate of Appropriateness:
Replace existing doors in the following locations with new doors and a window:
1. In location 1 on the plan, remove the existing deteriorated wood door and replace
with a new wood door to match the appearance of the original door;
2. In location 2 on the plan, remove the existing door and replace with a new metal
windows; install a metal exterior mullion grill to match the existing mullion pattern
of the windows to the left and the right;
3. In location 3 on the plan, remove existing deteriorated wood French door with
adjoining wood sidelights:
a. Reframe opening with new 3'-0" wood French door opening in same location;
b. Install metal corrugated metal siding to match existing wall siding where
sidelights have been removed;
c. Install new wood 3'-0" wood French door in the opening.
as per the attached plan, specifications and photos with the condition a permit be
obtained from the Building Department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit his;/ is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.
