This letter confirms on April 3, 2020 the Historic Preservation Commission staff approved
with conditions #CA20-24 for the property addressed 846 East Worth Street, legally
described as Block 8, Lot 7, D. E. Box Addition, City of Grapevine Texas. The following was
approved on this Certificate of Appropriateness:
1. Repaint the outdoor lamp post and mailbox in the front yard, changing the color
from blue to Sherwin Williams #SW6258 "Tricorn Black";
2. Repaint front door changing the color from blue to Sherwin Williams #SW6307
"Fine Wine" (maroon);
3. Repaint front porch railings, changing the color from maroon to Sherwin Williams
#SW625 "Tricorn Black";
as per the attached photos and color swatches.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit is / is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3166 for fees and information regarding permits.

Re: Painting at our home
Dear Mr. Klempin:
My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed our first 8 months living in Grapevine. The community is so
vibrant and fun. We are hopeful the COVID —19 crises will be over soon so the area can recover. We
expect it will come back stronger than ever.
The time working from home has allowed us to look at other projects we would like to accomplish.
Attached you will find a Certificate of Appropriateness for some painting my wife would like to do. I
have also attached current pictures of the lamp, front door, mailbox and porch railings. I have also
attached paint samples of the colors she will be using when she paints these items. This will help you
get a better understanding of the work she would like to do.
I hope this information satisfies your requirements. I look forward to a positive reply to our request.
