Watson City Manager � Linda Huff City Secretary Larry Koonce Finance Director Pat Dalton Budget Analyst � ; � CALL TO ORDER Mayor Tate called the special budget meeting to order at 6 :20 p.m. � � � � INVOCATION � � Council Member Wilbanks delivered the Invocation. � I � ITEM 1 . WORKSHOP, PROPOSED 1990-91 BUDGET � � The budget workshop discussions resumed with Court Administrator � Nita Bond outlining the Municipal Court programs and pro�ections � for FY90-91 . Ms. Bond stated there would be a presentation regarding establishing a Court of Record to limit the number of � ' appeals to the County and a City Marshall ' s Office would be � a established during FY90-91 . � iParks & Recreation Director Mark Mailes briefly reviewed the � objectives planned for the Parks & Recreation Department � including the Senior Citizens Center Budget, Parks Maintenance Budget and the Recreation Division Budget. � Community Development Director H. T. Hardy stated the objectives � ; of the Community Development Department for FY90-91 specifically �: noting improvment in code enforcement activity, planning and site ; review. � Police Chief Tom Caperton addressed the re-organization and staffing of the Police Department. The department is requesting � three (3) new patrol officers and a boat for patrol of Grapevine � Lake as well as additional funding for the horse patrol. Also � included in the budget is the purchase of seven (7) replacement � patrol vehicles and one (1) motorcycle. � � 1, Fire Chief Bill Powers presented highlights of the Fire � Department' s proposed budget noting the majority of the budget � j increase is due to rising personnel costs. A brief presentation ' was made regarding the proposed new equipment in the Fire � Training and Prevention Division and the Fire Operation Division. � � � € � I � � � � �� 08/14/90 MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS AND/OR DISCUSSION � I ITEM 2 . TASK FORCE PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING � ! � City Manager Watson stated the Grapevine Task Force � would conduct a Public Information Meeting on � Wednesday, August 22 , 1990 at 7 : 00 p.m. at the � � Grapevine Convention Center.
