.. � 1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
-' Z GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, ABANDONING AND VACATING A
` �, FIVE FOOT (5') UTILITY EASEMENT IN THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED;
;;� � PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; DECLARING AN
; y EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

;: � WHEREAS, the owner of Lots 23 and 24, Block 3, Placid Peninsula, Section A as
� filed in the Volume 388-U, Page 61, Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, the property
containing a five foot (5') utility easement, more specifically described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein for a;i purposes, has reguested ihe ut�lity
easement, as herein after described be abandoned and vacated; and
WHEREAS, the utility easement is not needed for public use and will not be needed
in the future for public use; and
WHEREAS, abandoning and vacating said utility easement will relieve the City of
. � Grapevine, Texas from the cost and expense of maintaining said property.
�.3,.� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble of this ordinance are true and
correct and are hereby incorporated into the body of this ordinance as if copied in their
entirety.
Section 2. That the utility easement located within the property described in
Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, is hereby abandoned
and vacated for public use and the same is hereby abandoned and vacated insofar as all
public right, title, and interest in and to said utility easement is concerned.
S�ct�on 3. T"ar.ha tLrms �^�' �r�v����r�s of±his �rdinance shall be deemed to be
severable, and that if the validity of any section, subsection, word, sentence or phase shall
be held to be invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of this ordinance.
Section 4. The fact that the utility easement is no longer needed by the public for
public usage and would create a hardship or burden upon the City of Grapevine to keep
open and maintain such utility easement creates an urgency and an emergency for the
immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and general welfare which requires that
this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and it is accordingly

BEING a 642 squore feet tract of land situated in Lot 23 and Lot 24, Block 3,
Placid Peni�sula, Section A, an addition to the City of Grapevine, Tarrqnt County,
` Texas occording to the plot recorded in Volume 388—U, Page 61, Plot Records,
Torrant County, Texas, said 642 square feet tract being more porticularly described
by metes and bounds as follows:
' BEGINNING at a 3/4" iron rod found ot the northwest corner of said Lot 23;
THENCE South 89'09'45" East, along the north line of said Lot 23, a distance
of 5.03 feet to a point; THENCE South 07'24'S6" West, a distance oi 98.27
feet to a point;
1HENCE South 25'26'06" West, a distance of 30.68 feet to a point in the south
Il�e of sald Lot 24; THENCE North 77'37�31" West, alpng the south Ilne of sald
