This letter confirms on April 28, 2020 the Historic Preservation staff approved with
conditions #CA20-36 for the property addressed 428 East Wall Street, legally described as,
Lot 6R, G. E. Hurst Addition, City of Grapevine Texas. The following was approved on this
Certificate of Appropriateness:
1. Repaint the exterior of the house in new paint color scheme as follows:
a. Body of House — "white" satin finish; Trim of House — "white" satin finish;
b. Barge Board - "soft gray" with satin finish;
c. Porch foundation boards - "soft gray" with satin finish;
d. Porch Barge Board - "soft gray" with satin finish;
e. Porch ceilings — "sky blue" with satin finish;
f. Porch floor decking —"dark gray";
2. Install wood spindle railing on front and back porches;
3. Install wood plank shutters on front and west side windows;
as per the attached color schedule, details and photos with the conditions a permit is
obtained from the building department.
An approved Certificate of Appropriateness is not an approved building permit; a
building permit is / is not required. Contact the City of Grapevine's Building
Department at 817.410.3165 for fees and information regarding permits.
