The City Council of the City of Grapevine, Texas met in Special
Session on this the 6th day of March, 1989 at 7 : 30 p.m. in
Conference Room #204, 307 West Dallas Road, with the following
members present to-wit:
William D. Tate Mayor
Ted R. Ware Mayor Pro Tem
Jim Glynn Council Member
Sharron Spencer Council Member
C. Shane Wilbanks Council Member
Lynn R. Niedermeier Council Member
Gil Traverse Council Member
constituting a quorum, with the following members of the City
Staff: �
Mark S. Watson City Manager
Kelvin Knauf Assistant City Manager
John F. Boyle, Jr. City Attorney
Linda Huff City Secretary
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Tate called the meeting to order at 7: 35 p.m.
ITEM 1 . EXECUTIVE SESSION
�"' Mayor Tate announced the City Council would conduct an Executive
Session in Conference Room #204 to discuss contemplated litigation
(review with City Attorney the status of complaint pending before
the Texas Water Commission relative to priority of rights in �
Grapevine Reservoir) under amendments to Article 6252-17,
V.A.T.C.S. , Subsection 2 (e) .
�
Al1 Council Members were present upon reconvening in open session.
Assistant City Manager Kelvin Knauf reported there was no action
necessary as a result of the Executive Session.
�
MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS AND/OR DISCUSSION
ITEM 2 . Council Member Gil Traverse requested Staff review the
alternatives to eliminate the dip at the entrance to the
Convention Center and Library. Staff was also directed
to review the intersection of W. T. Parr Road and
Hall-Johnson Road relative to the guard rails that have
been installed.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, Council Member
Spencer made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8 : 55 p.m. Mayor
Pro Tem Ware seconded the motion which prevailed by the following F
vote:
Ayes: Tate, Ware, Glynn, Spencer, Wilbanks, Niedermeier & Traverse
Nays: None
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS on this the 21st day of March , 1989 .
