ITEM 1. DISCUSS, STONE BRIDGE OAKS TRAFFIC STUDY
Public Works Director Stan Laster reviewed the Stone Bridge Oaks Traffic Study that
shows there to be significant traffic volume based on the number of occupied structures.
The residents had requested gates to eliminate extra traffic through the subdivision to
State Highway 360. Mr. Laster stated the subdivision is about 25% built out— 91 homes
are planned and currently 25 are occupied. Overall there is a very low volume of traffic and
it is possible that much of the excess traffic is due to construction and sales. Staff
recommended that the City wait until the subdivision is further developed and reevaluate
the situation.
It was the consensus of the Council to review the request for the gated community when
the development is at 50% build out.
There was no formal action taken by the City Council.
