SURVEY
Andrea Thomas, with National Service Research, will be present to review a draft survey
instrument/methodology with Council. This survey will be specific to the renewal option
already presented to Gouncil and the pay-as-you-throw option requested by a group of
citizens.

Solid Waste Citizen Telephone Survey— May 17, 2010 ��'�1��
Hello, this is calling on behalf of the City of Grapevine. We are conducting a very short study on
alternative trash and recycling services. First of all, do you currently receive curbside trash and recycling
pick up service in Grapevine? (if no, terminate) We are asking Grapevine residents which of the four �
options currently under review you would prefer. The four options are as follows (rotate reading order of
options on each interview):
❑ Option 1 Do away with the 18 gallon recycle container and provide a 64 or 96 gallon recycling
$13.19/mo container with an attached lid, handle and wheels. Monthly cost is$13.19.Trash
64 or 96 gallon recycling collection remains twice per week.

❑ Option 2 Do away with the 18 gallon recycle container and provide a 64 or 96 gallon recycling
$14.44/mo container with a lid, handle and wheels plus an incentive program called
64 or 96 gallon recycling Recyc/ebank0 that encourages recycling by providing coupons redeemable at local
