TRIPLETT, JR, PLANNER 11 DATE: JUNE 26, 2007 SUBJECT: SPECIAL USE REQUEST SU07-02, LOT 1, BLOCK 1, BALL STREET SUBSTATION ADDITION RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends the Site Plan Review Committee consider the proposed changes to Special Use Request SU99-04 (Ord. 99-74) approved at the May 4, 1999 meeting for the addition of two new equipment cabinets in conjunction with an existing TXU transmission tower specifically to allow the replacement of an existing equipment cabinet with a new equipment shelter, and take any other action necessary. BACKGROUND INFORMATION Special use request SU99-04 was approved at the May 4, 1999, Council meeting and allowed for the addition of two new equipment cabinets to support an array of telecommunication antennas located on an existing TXU electric transmission tower. Verizon Wireless is the sole telecommunications provider on the TXU transmission tower. With this request the applicant intends to utilize the existing 40-feet x 40-feet lease area and remove an existing equipment cabinet and replace it with a new 16-feet x 12-feet equipment shelter and a new utility rack. An existing six panel antenna array exists around the circumference of the TXU tower at approximately 101-feet in height. /at 0AZCU\SU07-02.4sprc CITY OF GRAPI5VINE; SfT7 P IAN EREViFW COMIM!TTCir rads'n oral IANCE - ' DATA GENERAL NOTES FOSURVCY - --- THISLAN IS SHCWN fU CL AR9 Y TIT.
