This letter will verify that our office has inspected the rebar foundation of the above
referenced property and that the exterior beam depth and rebar placement were in
compliance with the International Residential Code, 2009 edition. The evaluation of the
beam depth was accomplished by measuring the depth from the top of concrete to the
beam bottom along the outside of the exterior beam in three locations.
The properties of the slab that were measured or observed were found to be within
acceptable construction tolerances for the slab design and are adequate for the
proposed addition. Furthermore no significant cracks were visible in the foundation.
If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. We appreciate the

WHEREAS, the owner of property abutting a portion of Dunn
Street in the City of Grapevine, Texas has requested a portion of
right-of-way of Dunn Street, as hereinafter described, be

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the portion of right-of-way of Dunn Street
located within the property described in Exhibits "A" & "B",
attached and incorporated herein for all purposes, is hereby
abandoned and vacated for public use, and the same is hereby
abandoned and vacated insofar as all public right, title, and
interest in and to said described portion of said right-of-way is
concerned.
Section 2. That the Mayor, be, and is hereby authorized to
execute Quitclaim Deeds to evidence release of the City's
interest in the heretofore described property to the owner of the
property abutting said right-of-way, Truman L. Berry, who
officially declared by affidavit that he is the rightful owner of
the underlying fee title to the right-of-way vacated and
abandoned by this ordinance.
Section 3. That the terms and provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed to be severable, and that if the validity of any
section, subsection, word, sentence, or phrase shall be held to
be invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of this
ordinance.
Section 4. That the effective date of this ordinance shall
be October 18, 1983.
Section 5. The fact that said portion of. right-of-way of
Dunn Street is no longer needed by the public for public usage or
traveling and would create a hardship or burden upon the City of
Grapevine to keep open and maintain such right-of-way creates an
urgency and an emergency for the immediate preservation of the
public health, safety, and general welfare, which requires that
this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its
passage, and it is accordingly so ordained.

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 18th day of October, 1983.
