'� � AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 98-60
RELATIVE TO THE FISCAL YEAR 1997-98 BUDGET BY
AMENDING SECTION 1; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 1998 Sales Tax Revenues are exceeding budgeted
FY-98 Sales Tax Revenues in excess of $434,700.00, resulting in unbudgeted General
Fund revenues; and
WHEREAS, the Sales Tax Revenues projected for the remainder of FY 98 are
expected to continue to exceed budgeted revenues in excess of revenues required for
General Fund expenditures in FY 98; and
WHEREAS, $434,700.00 is needed for additional costs associated with unfunded
needs for Fiscal Year 1998 delineated as follows:

Parr Park Restrooms 40,000
� Playgrounds (Banyan, Parkwood, Cluck) 90,000
Western Oaks/Belfort Park 50,000
Horseshoe Trails Overlay 65,000
Median Irrigation 59,700
Grapevine Middle School Playground 35,000
Total $434,700 and;
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate $434,700.00 for completion of said
unfunded projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all the above premises are true and correct and are hereby
incorporated into this ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That funds in the amount of$434,700.00, authorized by this ordinance,
are appropriated for expenditures from the General Fund as described above.
`°`°'° Section 3. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 98-60, as amended, is hereby
amended to read as follows:

Section 4. That the City Manager be and is hereby authorized to make the
appropriate change to the budget to reflect the change noted above.
Section 5. A true copy of this ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 1997-98 budget
�� shall be filed with the City Secretary.
Section 6. The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of
Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to properly safeguard the health, safety, morals, peace
and general welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that this ordinance
become effective from and after the date of its passage, and it is accordingly so ordained.
