�' � AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
_ GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, ABANDONING AND VACATING
TERRELL STREET PUBLIC ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY JUST
= EAST OF MAIN STREET AT DALLAS ROAD, AND A
� PORTION OF NASH STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY LOCATED
= EAST OF MAIN STREET; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
= CLAUSE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING
_.. AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the public street right-of-way of Terrell Street east of Main Street and
a portion of the public street right-of-way of Nash Street east of Main Street, are no longer
needed for public vehicular use and will not be needed in the future for public vehicular
use; and
WHEREAS, abandoning and vacating these rights-of-way will relieve the City of
Grapevine, Texas from the cost and expense of maintaining said street.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
�, GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the preamble of this ordinance are true and
correct and are hereby incorporated into ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. Within an area owned by the City in fee title, the public street right-of-
way of Terrell Street east of Main Street, as described by metes and bounds in Exhibit A,
attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby abandoned and vacated for public

to title and interest in and to said right-of-way is concerned, subject to the retention by the
�ity of the area described in Exhibit A as a utility easement.
Section 3. Within an area owned by the City in fee title, the public street right-of-
way of Nash Street east of Main Street, as described by metes and bounds in Exhibit A,
attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby abandoned and vacated for public
vehicular use and the same is hereby abandoned and vacated insofar as all public right
to title and interest in and to said right-of-way is concerned, subject to the retention by the

City of the area described in Exhibit A as a utility easement.

_�;= ,,,�, Section 4. That the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed to be
- � severable, and that if the validity of any section, word, sentence or phrase shall be held
-� to be invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of this ordinance.

`=' Section S.The fact that the present ordinances and regulations of the City of
=- Grapevine, Texas are inadequate to properly safeguard the public health, safety, morals,
__= peace and general welfare of the public creates an emergency which requires that this
,, ordinance become effective from and after the date of its passage, and it is accordingly
- ordained.

follows:
COMMENCING at the northeast comer of Lot 1,Block 1,OmniAmerican Federal Credit
Union, an addition to the City of Grapevine as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 1862, said
county records said point also being in the south right-of-way line of Dallas Road(90'wide
right-of-way);
