FROM: ALBRT L. TRIPLETT, JR, PLANNER II
DATE: DECEMBER 21, 2006
SUBJECT: CONDITIONAL USE REQUEST CU06-61; LOT 1A, BLOCK 1, MAC'S
CORNER ADDITION
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Site Plan Review Committee consider the proposed changes to
Conditional Use Request CU95-26 (Ord. 95-93) approved at the November 21, 1995
meeting to allow the possession, storage and retail sales of off-premise consumption of
alcoholic beverages (beer and wine only) in conjunction with a retail store, specifically to
modify the elevations of the structure, and take any other action necessary.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Conditional Use Request CU95-26 was approved at the November 21, 1995 public
hearing and amended the previously approved site plan for Mac's Corner by adding a
gasoline fuel island and canopy, and reconfiguring vehicle parking. The original
conditional use request, which permitted a 270-square foot addition to a pre-existing
, retail structure, was considered and approved by Council at the February 15, 1994
meeting (CU94-01).
With this request the applicant proposes to revise the exterior elevations by adding a
combination of EIFS and brick. Exclusive of the doors and windows the revised building
elevations are 100% masonry. Please see the attached plans.
