ITEM 1 . CONTRACT, IMPROVE RELATIONS BETWEEN CITY OF GRAPEVINE AND k
DALLAS/FORT WORTH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, WORTH BLAKE &
ASSOCIATES
The City Council discussed the cooperative relationship that has :
existed between the City of Grapevine and Dallas/Fort Worth
International Airport. Due to changes in personnel at the Airport,
new operational directions being taken by Dallas/Fort Worth
International Airport and aircraft flying over residential areas,
the relations have become strained between the two entities.
Lengthy deliberations ensued relative to strategies for improving
the relations . The proposal submitted by Worth Blake & Associates :<
would design and produce a Partnership Enhancement Strategy focused r'
on reducing aviation related environmental safety concerns for =
improving relations betweeri the City and Dallas/Fort Worth w'
International Airport. rv

be under the direction of the Mayor and Acting City Manager and the
Council be provided periodic reports at City Council meetings as to
the progress made. Also, that Mr. Blake be hired on an hourly
basis at a rate of $85 . 00 an hour and the Council receive a fee
update on a monthly basis in conjunction with a report to be
presented at the second Council meeting each month. Staff would
assist Mr. Blake when possible at the discretion of the Acting City
