AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS,
SETTING THE ANNUAL TAX RATE FOR TAX YEAR 1994;
LEVYING TAXES FOR THE TAX YEAR 1994 TO BE
ASSESSED ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS; PROVIDING
PENALTIES AND INTEREST FORTHE DELINQUENTTAXES;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS:
Section 1 . That a tax rate is hereby levied upon all taxable property in the City
of Grapevine, Texas, for Tax Year 1994 at a rate of forty-two and fifty one-
hundredths cents (50.4250) per One Hundred Dollars (5100.00) valuation.
'� � Section 2. That there shall be and there is hereby levied the following taxes
on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation on all taxable property within the
'�" City of Grapevine, Texas, to be assessed and collected by the Tax Assessor/Collector
and collected for Tax Year 1994, and said taxes are to be assessed and collected for
the purposes and in the amounts hereinafter stipulated, to-wit:
A. For the General Fund, a tax rate of 50.2908 is levied.
B. For the Debt Service Fund, a tax rate of 50.1342 is levied.
Section 3. Taxes levied by this ordinance shall be due and payable on the first
day of October, 1994 and shall become delinquent on the first day of February, 1995,
if unpaid. Upon taxes becoming delinquent, interest and penalty will be added as
required in Section 33.01 of the Texas Property Tax Code, and shall commence on
the first day of February, 1995. The City of Grapevine is hereby authorized to adopt
any and all legal remedies provided by the Texas Property Tax Code for the purpose
of collecting delinquent taxes.
Section 4. The fact that the fiscal year begins on October 1, 1994 requires
that this ordinance be effective upon its passage and adopted to preserve the public
peace, property, health, and safety, and shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and adoption, and an emergency is hereby declared.

PASSAGE OF AN ORDINANCE

CITY OF GRAPEVINE � �
On this the 13th day of September, 1994, the City Council of
the City of Grapevine, Texas, convened in Regular Session at the
regular meeting place thereof, the meeting being open to the public
and notice of said meeting, giving the date, place and subject
thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended,and the roll was called of the duly
constituted officers and members of the City Council, which
officers and members are as follows:
William D. Tate Mayor
Ted R. Ware Councilmember
Sharron Spencer Councilmember
C. Shane Wilbanks Councilmember
Gil Traverse Councilmember
Jerry L. Pittman Councilmember
Will Wickman Councilmember
and all of said persons were present, except the following
'��'�` absentees• None , thus constituting a quorum.
Whereupon, among other business, a written Ordinance bearing the
�,� following caption was introduced:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, CALLING A BOND ELECTION TO BE HELD
WITHIN THE CITY, MAKING PROVISIONS FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE
ELECTION AND OTHER PROVISIONS ZNCIDENT AND RELATED TO THE
PURPOSE OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
The Ordinance, a full, true and correct copy of which is
attached hereto, was read and reviewed by the City Council.
Thereupon, it was duly moved and seconded that the Ordinance
be finally passed and adopted. The Presiding Officar put the
motion to a vote of the members of the City Council, and the
Ordinance was finally passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Tate, Ware, Spencer, �Yilbanks, Traverse, Pittman and �Nickman
� NOES: None
ABSTENTIONS: None
� The Presiding Officer then declared the Ordinance passed and
approved, and signed the same in the presence of the City Council.
