AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
� TEXAS ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1991 AND ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 1992; PROVIDING FOR INTRA-
AND INTER-DEPARTMENTAL FUND TRANSFERS;
PROVIDING FOR INVESTMENT OF CERTAIN
FUNDS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing on the budget for the
City of Grapevine, Texas for the fiscal year 1991-92 (FY92) was
heretofore published in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held and all interested
persons were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any
item therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:

Section l. That the appropriation amounts for the FY92
budget for the different funds of the City of Grapevine are
+� hereby fixed as follows:
General Fund $14, 737, 197
Utility (Water & Wastewater) Fund 7 , 480, 095
Debt Service Fund 4 , 317, 922
CVB Fund 2 , 017, 187
Golf Fund 997 ,537
General Govt. Capital Projects Fund 8, 535, 257
Utility Capital Projects Fund 1, 871, 600
Firemen's Relief & Retirement Fund 4, 000
Insurance Fund 873 , 711
Fleet Fund 625, 526
Section 2 . That a copy of the official adopted 1991-92
budget document shall be kept on file in the office of the City
Secretary and the City Manager is hereby directed to file or
cause to be filed a true copy of the adopted budget in the office
of the County Clerks of Tarrant, Dallas and Denton, and with the
State Comptroller of Public Accounts in Austin.
Section 3 . That the City Manager be and is hereby
authorized to make intra- and inter-departmental fund transfers
during the fiscal year as becomes necessary in order to avoid
overexpenditure of a particular object code and report all fund
transfers between departments over $5, 000. 00 to the City Council.

Section 4 . That the City Manager is authorized to approve
���° expenditures up to $5, 000. 00. Any expenditures over the
$5, 000. 00 limit requires the approval of the City Council.
�„ Section 5. That the City Manager and/or Finance Director is
authorized to invest any funds not needed for current use,
whether operating funds or bond funds in the United States
Treasury Bills, Certificates of Deposit, Savings Accounts, Time
Deposit Open Accounts in Official City Depositories, or any other
investment instrument authorized in the Texas Public Funds
Investment Act of 1987 .
Section 6. The fact that the fiscal year begins on October
1, 1991 requires that this ordinance be effective upon its
passage and adopted to preserve the public peace, property,
health, and safety, and shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and adoption, and emergency is hereby
declared.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 3rd day of September , 1991.
