� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AMENDING THE GRAPEVINE
CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 5, SECTION 5-3
RELATING TO AMBULANCE FEES; PROVIDING A
PENALTY; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE,
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the Grapevine Code of Ordinances, Chapter 5
Ambulance Service, Section 5-3 Procedure; Charges, Subsections (b)
and (c) relating to ambulance fees are hereby amended to read as
follows;
" (b) Grapevine residents shall be charged the following
fees for ambulance service:

(1) Basic Life Support Service $100. 00
(2) Advanced Life Support Service $125. 00

(c) Non-Grapevine residents shall be charged the
following fees for ambulance service:
(1) Basic Life Support Service $150. 00
(2) Advanced Life Support Service $175. 00
(3) Transfer to Area Hospital Outside
the City of Grapevine $250. 00"
Section 2 . Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon
conviction in Municipal Court, shall be subject to a fine not to
exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00) for each offense.
Section 3 . Should any section or provision of this ordinance
for any reason be held void, unconstitutional, or invalid, it shall
not affect the validity of any other section or provision hereof
which is in itself not void, unconstitutional, or invalid.
Section 4 . Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances
inconsistent or conflicting with the provisions of this ordinance
�,� are hereby repealed; provided, however, that the repeal of existing
ordinances by this ordinance shall not affect or prevent the
prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or
committed in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to
"�"" the taking effect of this ordinance, but prosecutions for such
offenses may be instituted and causes presently pending proceeded
�� with in all respects as if such prior ordinance had been repealed.
Section 5. The fact that the present ordinances of the City
+�, of Grapevine, Texas, are insufficient to control the operation of
ambulances creates an urgency and an emergency in the preservation
of the public health, safety, and welfare, and require that this
ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage
and the publication of said ordinance, as the law in such cases
provides.
