r��.;� WHEREAS, the written application was properly filed by Fort Worth Cab
& Baggage with the City of Grapevine (the "City") for a franchise to operate a
taxicab �er�ri�n i� the Cit;�; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police submitted a written report and favorable
recommendation concerning the qualifications and financial ability of the ap-
plicant and concerning the public necessity and �onvenience for the proposed
taxicab service; and
�OIHEREAS, on the 7th day of October, 1986, a public hearing was held to
consider whether the franchise should be granted; and
WHER,]EAS, the City Council hereby finds the proposed �axicab service is
required by the public convenience and necessity and that the applicant is fit,
willing, and able to operate the taxicab service in accordance with the
requirements of Chapter 22 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grapevine
and the applicable rules and regulations of the City.
NOV'r', THEPEFORE, BE IT ORDAINEY7 BY T�iE CITY COUNCIL OF TIIE
CITX OF GRAPEVINE:
� _, Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and
correct and are incorporated into the body of this ordinance as if copied in their
entirety.

�A�tinn 2. There is herebv granted to Fort V3�orth Cab � Baggage,
herein called Grantee, a certificate of convenience and necessity and the right
and franchise to operate a taxicab service or business in the City of Grapevine,
Texas and to aperate such service or business on the streets, alleys, and public
ways in the City of Grapevine. Grantee may operate a maximum of Two
Hundred Seventy Four (274) taxicabs plus a maximum of one (1) lift equipped
handicapped van on the streets, alleys, and public ways in the City of Grapevine.
Section 3. As a condition of the granting of this franchise, Grantee
shall operate under the trade name Yellow-Checker Cab.
S�ction 4. This franchise shall be in force and effect until five (5) years
after the effective date of this ordinance, unless sooner terminated under
provisions of �ection 22-2.8(b) of Chaptea� 22 of the Cocle of Ordinances of tY�e
City of Grapevine. This franchise may be renewed upon proper application to
the City in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 22 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Grapevine.
Section 5. Grantee, by accepting this franchise, agrees to abide by the
provisions of Chapter 22, as now written and as may be subsequently amended,
�,_.:, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Grapevine governing the operation of
taxicabs in the City. Grantee also agrees that the City of Grapevine may
st�s�end or revoke the franchise for violations of the provisians of said Chapter

22.

FORT 49�ORTH CAB & BAGGAGE hereby accepts the taxicab franchise
granted to it by the City Council of the City of Grapevine and hereby agrees
to operate said taxicab service in accordance with the terms and conditions of
such franchise.
