AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND VACATING
A WATER LINE EASEMENT LOCATED IN THE
G. G. STARR SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO.
14 6 6, AND THE E. COX SURVEY, ;; :, n.

DESCRIBED; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the owner of a tract of land located in the G. G.
Starr Survey, Abstract No. 1466, and the E. Cox Survey, Abstract
No. 352, (a portion of the Western Oaks Addition) in the City of
Grapevine, Texas, has requested that a water line easement, as
hereinafter described, be abandoned and vacated; and
WHEREAS, the water line easement, as hereinafter described,
is not needed for public use and will not be needed in the future
for public use; and
WHEREAS, abandoning and vacating the water line easement
will relieve the City of Grapevine, Texas from the cost and
expense of maintaining said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
- Section 1 . That the City of Grapevine water line easement
as recorded in Volume 7089, Paqes 124-128 of the Tarrant County
Deed Records, and as shown in Exhibit "A" , attached hereto and
�"'"" made a part hereof (a portion of the Western Oaks Addition) , is
hereby abandoned and vacated for public use and the same is
hereby abandoned and vacated insofar as all public right, title,
and interest in and to said described portion of said water line
easement is concerned.
Section 2 . That the terms and provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed to be severable, and that if the validity of any
section, subsection, word, sentence, or phrase shall be held to
be invalid, it shall not affect the remaining part of this ordi-
nance.
Section 3 . The fact that said water line easement is no
longer needed by the public for public usage and would create a
hardship or burden upon the City of Grapevine to keep open and
maintain such easement creates an urgency and an emergency for
the immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and
general welfare, which requires that this ordinance shall take
effect immediately from and after its passage, and it is
accordingly so ordained.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 15th day of April, 1986.

WATER LINE EASEMENT ABANDONMENT

(HAWN TRACT - WESTERN OAKS ADDITION)
The twenty foot (20 ' ) water line easement across the
Hawn Foundation, Inc. tract of land located in part of
the G. G. Starr Survey, Abstract No. 1466 and in part of
the E. Cox Survey, Abstract No. 352 , and recorded in
Volume 5781 , Page 216, in the Deed Records of Tarrant
County, Texas;
BEGINNING at a point in the East property line of
the Hawn Foundation, Inc. tract, said point also being in
the West right-of-way line of Farm Road No. 157 , located
813 feet North 0 degrees, 46 minutes East from an iron
rod marking the Southeast corner of said tract;
THENCE North 0 degrees, 46 minutes East along the
East property line a distance of 670 feet to a point;
THENCE North 89 degrees 14 minutes West for a distance
of 20 feet to a point;
� THENCE South 0 degrees 46 minutes West a total dis-
tance of 670 feet to a point; and
THENCE South 89 degrees 14 minutes East 20 feet to
the Point of Beginning.
