A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE TO RECEIVE INTOXICATION TEST-
ING EQUIPMENT FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS
THROUGH THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

WHEREAS, the urban areas across this nation are exper-
iencing a dramatic increase in cases of persons driving
�"' while intoxicated; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas is also exper-
iencing this nation-wide trend; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Texas, acting through the Depart-
ment of Highways and Public Transportation and the Department
of Public Safety, will provide funding for a Chemical Breath
Test Instrument.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section l. That the City of Grapevine Police Department
is authorized to receive from the State of Texas, through the
Department of Highways and Public Transportation and the De-
partment of Public Safety, funding for a Chemical Breath Test
Instrument.
Section 2. That the City of Grapevine understands that,
if approved, the State of Texas, through the Department of
� Highways and Public Transportation and the Department of
� Public Safety, will provide 100� funding for the project.
