A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
OR THE CITY MANAGER'S DESIGNEE TO AWARD A
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE
RENOVATION OF DOVE POOL AND BATHHOUSE AND TO
APPROPRIATE FUNDS FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED
BALANCE OF THE QUALITY OF LIFE FUND AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine, Texas desires to renovate Dove Pool and the
Bathhouse; and
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2013 Budget has $2,386,000.00 allocated for the
project in the Quality of Life Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine has sufficient funds in the unappropriated
balance of the Quality of Life Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Grapevine's Parks and Recreation Department has a need
to renovate the pool and bathhouse.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF GRAPEVINE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That all matters stated in the above preamble are true and correct and
are incorporated herein as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Grapevine enters into a
construction contract with JC Commercial, Inc.
Section 3. That the sum of$324,977.00 be appropriated from the unappropriated
balance of the Quality of Life Fund to Account #121-48840-312-13-000024.
Section 4. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to take all steps
necessary to consummate the renovation of Dove Pool and Bathhouse.
Section 5. That this resolution shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS on this the 2nd day of October, 2012.
